Tree Planting Program
International Village Development / Brooklyn Housing Development is excited to announce the launch of our tree planting initiative. This program aims to beautify our community by planting trees throughout our neighborhoods. Trees provide countless benefits - they purify the air, provide shade, reduce flooding and erosion, and even boost property values. That's why we believe investing in our urban forest is so important.
Our tree planting program kicks off this spring. We will be working with local volunteers and environmental groups to identify areas in need of trees. Our priority is low-income neighborhoods and public spaces like parks, schools, and community centers. We plan to plant a diverse mix of tree species native to our region. This will help support local wildlife. Our team will provide volunteers with saplings, shovels, mulch and expert guidance. We'll also ensure the young trees receive care and maintenance to help them thrive.
Help Us Make A Difference
It's going to take a community-wide effort to make this initiative a success. We hope you'll join us in planting trees and growing a greener, healthier Brooklyn! With your help, we can plant thousands of trees across our neighborhoods. Let's work together to create change from the roots up!
